This role is a Business Development Representative for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales, focusing on driving new business acquisition and expanding AWS adoption within a specific sector. The role involves identifying and qualifying opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, and developing go-to-market strategies. While AWS offers AI services, this specific role is in sales and business development, not directly building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities to drive new business acquisition
  2. Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and decision makers
  3. Collaborate with partners and SA to develop integrated business development strategies and extend market reach
  4. Create and execute comprehensive account/territory plans
  5. Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies; Build and maintain a robust pipeline

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a relevant field
  • Experience and track record of exceeding sales goals

Nice to have

  • Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts
  • Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps
  • Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience with end-to-end project management
