This role is for a BI Analyst on the Finance Business Intelligence team at Google. The analyst will use data to inform business and product decisions, build tools for automated reporting, and generate insights for clients. The role requires experience managing finance systems projects, providing business intelligence through reporting, and knowledge of financial systems like Oracle and Hyperion, as well as BI tools. The team focuses on organizing data, enabling insights, and creating data-driven finance organizations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner closely with the Finance teams, understand their data needs and build plans to address those with intelligent data solutions in a timely and sustainable fashion.
  2. Deliver data solutions that tell a story and provide insights to the users, enabling them to make better decisions and more efficiently complete their responsibilities.
  3. Incorporate best practices for reporting, dashboards and scorecards, data visualization to ensure the data solutions are and remain relevant in filling the information gaps of the finance organization.
  4. Maintain development practices including: technical design; solution development; systems configuration; test documentation/execution; issue identification and resolution; writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code.
  5. Ensure the integrity of data under the purview of the projects, including establishing security procedures to protect and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and data security.
