Salesforce is seeking a Manager of Proposal Development to manage the end-to-end RFx lifecycle for U.S. Federal Government procurements and global bids. This role involves hands-on content response development, leveraging AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in proposal submissions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage content preparation, revision, and submission of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other types of procurements, collaborating closely with sales, solutions engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams
  2. Manage the lifecycle of federal task/delivery order requests and full & open RFx opportunities from qualification through submission
  3. Structure, write, edit, and format all types of response content tailored to customer requirements
  4. Conceptualize and write compelling content using AI tools, content repository, cross-functional team support, and from scratch
  5. Identify and implement AI tools to automate repetitive proposal tasks such as content drafting, compliance checks, resume tailoring, and formatting

  • Experience with proposal management software (e.g., GovWin, RFPio)
  • familiarity with AI tools for content generation or workflow automation
  • Experience supporting agencies such as the DoD, DHS, or civilian agencies

What the JD emphasized

  • Must be based in the Washington, D.C. area and able to commute to the DC office as needed
  • 7-10 years of experience in federal proposal development and managing U.S. government proposals, task orders, and/or full & open RFx opportunities, as well as some experience with State and Local, Education, or Nonprofit bids
