Bilingual (Spanish) Business Development Director responsible for managing and expanding issuing partnerships and commercial payments footprint in North America and Latin America. This role involves client relationship management, contract negotiation, product launches, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position requires fluency in Spanish and English, with experience in the payments and commercial credit card industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Represent Discover Network at industry events and trade shows to build brand awareness, foster C-suite relationships, and generate new business leads in the region
  2. Oversee strategic and tactical activity, and develop and support talent to deliver business growth and succession requirements
  3. Monitor existing partners to assess business performance and ensure that each is performing in the best interests of Global Payment Network; take appropriate mitigating actions when necessary
  4. Negotiate favorable and profitable contracts for existing and new partners
  5. Assist in the launch of new products and programs for partners in the region

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 8 years of business development, sales, marketing or relationship management experience within the payments industry
  • At least 5 years of commercial credit card experience
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

  • 10+ years of business development, sales, marketing or relationship management experience within the payments industry
  • 6+ years of commercial credit card experience
