Board and System Debug Engineer

This role is for a Board and System Debug Engineer at Intel, focusing on supporting ODM operations during NPI and HVM ramp. Responsibilities include providing debug support, delivering technical training, testing production failed parts, managing documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent, with strong debugging skills and familiarity with debug tools. Scripting knowledge (Python) is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide debug support on PCBA/Board Level and System Level debug during NPI and HVM builds.
  2. Deliver Response Flow Chart (RFC) and Technical Training (PCBA and Platform Level) to ODM to ramp up their products knowledge.
  3. Provide re-screening and testing of production failed part for re-inventory.
  4. Manage and maintain accurate records, reports on the Debug WIP and documentation.
  5. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.

Skills

Required

  • degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • at least 2 years of experience in hardware/board debug/manufacturing
  • Good debugging skills
  • ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause and apply corrective actions
  • Familiar with debug tools and equipment like oscilloscope, protocol analyzer etc.
  • Excellent communication, documentation and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
