Senior Manager for Information Technology at Boeing Global Services, responsible for leading IT professionals to partner with business leaders, strategize, coordinate, and execute IT initiatives supporting transformational and sustaining capabilities. The role involves building strategic relationships, defining and delivering IT strategic goals, developing IT roadmaps, driving new capability deployment, and managing cross-functional initiatives. It emphasizes continuous improvement, innovation within budget constraints, and developing the IT Business Partner team. Key responsibilities include managing IT activities across infrastructure, application analysis, information management, architecture, security, project support, and process analysis, as well as acquiring resources, managing suppliers, and improving processes. The role requires extensive experience in IT, business requirements analysis, and leading integrated technical projects or teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis
  2. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  3. Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  4. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  5. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience with Information Technology (IT) products and services
  • 10+ years of experience in business requirements and analysis on teams and projects that involve cross-functional and/or cross-business domains with management interface
  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing integrated technical projects or teams across multiple organizations

Nice to have

  • Masters degree, computer science or similar discipline
  • Experience in formal project or product management and history of delivering initiatives producing measurable productivity or efficiency gains
  • Experience with stakeholder management, communication, and change-leadership skills
  • Experience influencing leaders and cross functional dispersed teams
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams (e.g., leading lean workshops, conducting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), resolving conflicts, producing clear actionable outcomes
  • Experience with lean problem-solving skills
