Product Support Operations Manager for aircraft retrofit, repair, modification, and maintenance at Joint-Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Responsibilities include leading a team, overseeing modification processes, managing customer relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency in a joint DoD environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, coach, and mentor a team, executing aircraft modification processes in a field environment.
  2. Maintain a positive, results oriented work environment, building partnerships with direct reports, other contractors, site leaders, and DoD customers
  3. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  4. Work with local team geographically separated partners to continuously review lessons learned, identify process improvements, and implement best practices.
  5. Collaborate with site and BGS leaders to plan, manage, and optimize resources to achieve program goals and objectives.

Skills

Required

  • Leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completed "Exploring Leadership" course
  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects
  • Experience in aircraft sustainment requirements, reliability and maintainability, USAF technical orders, or USAF maintenance operation
  • 1+ years of experience working within or with Military or DoD customers
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, other technical computing or business discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in leadership roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • 2+ years supporting USAF 5th Generation aircraft
