Brake Controls System Supervisor

Lead the design and development of hardware for advanced electronic brake control systems, including anti-lock braking, stability control, and driver assistance features. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal requirements, coordinating engineering efforts globally, approving changes, and responding to customer concerns. The supervisor will also manage resources, oversee component deliverables, guide suppliers, perform failure mode and functional safety analyses, and collaborate with software and other functional teams. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 7 years of experience in chassis or powertrain controls, and familiarity with vehicle networks. Experience with quality metrics, TVM, material cost reductions, ISO 26262, controls modeling, and HIL simulation is desired.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate Engineering efforts for vehicle / system / subsystem / component part development and release for a global team of engineers.
  2. Provides Engineering Sign Off for vehicles.
  3. Approves engineering changes (Concerns / Notices / Alerts etc).
  4. Establishes overall tone and priorities to ensure the GPDS deliverables requirements are met.
  5. Ensures rapid response to customers field concerns on current product lines.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
  • Min 7 years design or development experience in chassis or powertrain controls
  • Experience with Quality Metrics and Analysis Tools
  • Experience with Total Value Management (TVM) and Material Cost Reductions
  • Familiarity with vehicle network communication (CAN)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering disciplines: DVP&R, DFMEA, 8D, NVH, Process Controls, GD&T, Reliability and System Engineering Fundamentals
