This role is for a Bronco Raptor PVT Engineer at Ford, focusing on managing the quality of the vehicle to meet customer requirements. The engineer will lead daily claims reports, quality forums, and support assembly plant issue resolution using data-driven methods. The role involves working with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and dealership technicians to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues, manage quality systems, and ensure product quality throughout the development and production process.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead daily claims report for both Ford Racing and vehicle assembly plant (PVT)
  2. Lead weekly Quality PAT forums along with managing R/1000 and CPU reports for a specific vehicle(s)
  3. Support daily assembly plant PIC room / Whiteboard / FCPA reviews
  4. Support daily GQRS and warranty claims binning, which may require interfacing with dealership technicians
  5. Lead Analytical Warranty System (AWS) and Early Claims Binning (ECB) claims analysis

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years combined experience in Program Management, VO/Launch, PVT, Quality
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to drive a team to resolution with work plans and accountability
  • High degree of self-motivation and willingness to commit extra effort to "get the job done"
  • Candidate must be comfortable in speaking and working with Chief / Director level management
  • Candidate must be comfortable in speaking and working with Plant Line Operators through Area Managers in understanding and resolving of issues
  • Previous rotations in Ford assembly plants
  • Experience in vehicle evaluation, program management, product launch or quality roles

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Understanding, or willingness to learn, fundamentals of Chassis, Body, Powertrain, and Electrical systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (including PowerPoint and Excel pivot tables)
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter for accessing vehicle CAD images
  • Tier 2 Driver Certification (training available if not already Tier 2)
