This role involves commissioning, installing, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC, fire, and security systems in commercial buildings. It requires expertise in Honeywell control systems, integration protocols, and mentorship of junior technicians. The position involves significant travel and collaboration with various stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Train and guide Associate Install Technical Specialists and Install Technical Specialists on system installation and on-site coordination with contractors.
  2. Continuously improve commissioning practices to reduce hours per device and system, leveraging Honeywell Operation Systems techniques.
  3. Install pre-engineered software, perform system checkouts, and commission systems while ensuring precise operation per customer requirements or job specifications.
  4. Identify and resolve hardware and software issues, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
  5. Perform open systems and third-party integrations, working across multiple protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC, and LON.
