Business Account Specialist - Sled Sales

This role is for a Business Account Specialist focused on the State, Local, and Education (SLED) Public Sector sales team at Verizon. The primary responsibilities include prospecting new customers, supporting sales efforts, resolving customer issues, and managing contract implementation and onboarding. The role leverages Verizon's Velocity Selling methodology, which incorporates AI and advanced CRM tools for automation, predictive analysis, and personalized customer approaches to drive revenue growth and customer success. While the role utilizes AI tools, it does not involve building or developing AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect for new customers while partnering with the sales team to close opportunities.
  2. Support account strategy with sales.
  3. Support "success plans' with customers.
  4. New and existing customer contract implementation, migration, and onboarding support.
  5. Drive and train online self-service, My Business, adoption of features and users to SLED customers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Eligibility to pass Motor Vehicle Record check.

  • Have been a part of working with customers to solve their problems and create sales – you can easily help multiple customers at the same time.
  • Experience prospecting, selling, sales support, and problem resolution for business accounts.
  • Experience in hunting for new business and partnering with the sales team to close the sale.
  • Have experience finding ways to grow the business with existing customers.
  • Familiarity with crafting programs with products that will wow our customers.
  • Experience in supporting the resolution of customer problems and recommending solutions.
  • Managed sales tracking and managed making appointments for a sales team.
