Business Administration & Operational Support Coordinator

This role supports the AI group at AMD by managing procurement, operational logistics, and team events. While the role is within an AI group and mentions using AI tools, its core function is business administration and operational support, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Initiate, track, and close Purchase Orders (POs) end-to-end - from requisition creation through vendor invoicing and goods receipt
  2. Plan, coordinate, and execute team events - including offsites, team-building activities, recognition programs, town halls, and leadership visits - from concept through post-event wrap-up
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational needs across the team — space planning, facilities requests, equipment provisioning, shipping, receiving, lab coordination and asset tracking
  4. Coordinate with Legal and Finance on vendor contract reviews, NDAs, and MSAs
  5. Manage vendor relationships: obtain competitive quotes, negotiate pricing/terms, and maintain an approved vendor database
