Business & AI Data Analyst III

This role is for a Business Intelligence Analyst III who will help define and operationalize F5's data transformation strategy, focusing on creating AI-ready data foundations. The role involves translating business needs into data solutions, improving data flow for advanced analytics and AI use cases, and driving a 'data as a product' approach. The analyst will contribute to building AI-ready data foundations, ensuring data is structured, governed, and accessible for predictive and machine learning initiatives, and partnering with engineering teams on data pipelines and models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze business processes and data flows to enable end-to-end data connectivity and insight generation, leveraging data quality tools, frameworks, and techniques
  2. Identify and implement opportunities to transition from manual data handling to automated, intelligence-driven workflows
  3. Contribute to building AI-ready data foundations by ensuring data is structured, governed, and accessible for predictive and machine learning use cases
  4. Translate business problems into data requirements that support: Reporting and dashboards, Predictive analytics, AI/ML initiatives, Streamlined operational processes
  5. Design or support data governance and metadata practices that prioritize automation and usability over manual control

Required

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new business domains and operate with increasing autonomy and ownership

  • Understanding of business transactional systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle EBS and PIM, Marketo, Gainsight)
  • Understanding of data modeling and transformation concepts, data pipelines, and integration patterns
  • Understanding of data quality and governance frameworks and workflows
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles, ideally in a SaaS or technology companies wit complex data ecosystems
  • Experience working in Agile, cross-functional delivery environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python or R
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with enterprise data catalogs (e.g., Atlan, Collibra, Alation)
  • Experience with third-party enrichment data sources (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, or similar)
  • Company/account hierarchy experience across multiple disconnected data sources.
