Business Analyst I, Global Logistics Domestic First Mile

This role focuses on data management, building data pipelines, analytical modeling, and data visualization using Python and SQL. It involves executing data management processes, retrieving and analyzing large datasets, taking ownership of reporting processes, building and maintaining KPIs, and identifying process improvements. The role is early-career and aims to develop expertise in data analytics and business intelligence within Amazon's Global Logistics Domestic First Mile operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute data management processes including accessing raw data feeds, building queries, writing code, organizing data, and designing reports that present status-at-a-glance visualization for business performance
  2. Retrieve and analyze large data sets using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems to design and implement reporting solutions that enable stakeholders to make effective decisions
  3. Take ownership of assigned reporting processes (typically 3–5 recurring reports) to ensure accuracy and timeliness, with support from senior analysts for complex data quality issues
  4. Build and maintain assigned KPIs following team standards and best practices, monitoring existing metrics and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities
  5. Identify and propose improvements to customer experience and operational processes, implementing approved changes with team support

Skills

Required

  • Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
  • business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
  • Knowledge of SQL
