This Business Analyst role focuses on shaping how sellers globally list their products on Amazon. The candidate will work with large datasets, seller anecdotes, and business metrics to identify opportunities and create programs for growing on Amazon stores. Responsibilities include engaging with leadership, partnering with engineering teams on data elements, designing self-service data platforms, delivering reporting solutions, and making data-driven recommendations. While the core role is business analysis and product development, there is a preferred qualification for leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and integrate AI solutions into products and services.

What you'd actually do

  1. Engage with leadership and diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions.
  2. Partner with engineering teams to define the data elements and data structures that the team should leverage to develop critical seller experience metrics.
  3. Design, implement, and support platforms that provide business teams ad-hoc access to large datasets for self service deep dives (eg: data visualization tools for non-tech business users)
  4. Interface with business customers, gather requirements and deliver complete reporting solutions.
  5. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key decisions.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
  • Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value
