This role is for a Business Analyst Manager within JPMorgan Chase's CIB Payments Operations team. The manager will lead a team of Data Analysis Associates to improve operational efficiency and support strategic fraud initiatives. Responsibilities include team leadership, roadmap ownership for reporting and analytics, driving data analysis for fraud trends, managing data pipelines, leading quality and change management, delivering reporting and visualizations, strengthening controls, managing delivery and SLAs, and championing ways of working. The role requires experience in data, analytics, or technology supporting fraud/risk/operations, people leadership, data analysis skills, proficiency in automation/BI tools, and understanding of software delivery lifecycles. Experience with JIRA, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and payments/card domains is preferred, along with some exposure to ML-adjacent solutions and AI tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop a team of Data Analysis Associates: set goals/OKRs, manage capacity and priorities, conduct 1:1s, coach and mentor, provide timely feedback, and oversee performance reviews and career development.
  2. Own the roadmap and stakeholder alignment for Reporting & Analytics across Core Cash and Commercial Card in CIB Payments Operations; partner with Product, Risk, and Operations; provide executive-ready updates and land changes without client or operational disruption.
  3. Drive analytics and decisioning: detect emerging fraud trends, quantify impact, and optimize rules; develop and explain algorithms/models and analytical logic to Management, Operations, Technology, and Compliance.
  4. Own data pipelines end to end: define requirements with Technology and Operations from sourcing through consumption, automate ETL, and own portions of transaction monitoring coverage.
  5. Lead quality, testing, and change management: plan and execute UAT, manage releases, and maintain documentation and logs for audit readiness.

What the JD emphasized
