Business Analyst, Senior Associate

JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase · Banking · Wilmington, DE +1 · Consumer & Community Banking

This role focuses on translating business requirements into technical specifications for reporting and analytics products, including those powered by AI and automation. The Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and data/engineering teams, overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of these products. While AI is mentioned as a component of modernization, the core function is business analysis and product delivery for reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and data teams to understand business needs, objectives, and decision workflows impacted by reporting and analytics products.
  2. Proactively engage end users and key stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, including current-state pain points, future-state needs, and measurable success criteria.
  3. Facilitate discovery sessions — workshops, interviews, and ride-a-longs — to map business processes, identify reporting gaps, and prioritize enhancements based on business value, risk, and feasibility.
  4. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, including user stories, acceptance criteria, data definitions, report logic, and non-functional requirements.
  5. Partner with data, engineering, and product teams to identify opportunities to transform reporting through automation, AI-assisted insights, intelligent alerting, and self-service enablement — with appropriate human oversight and operational controls.
