This role is a Business Area Operations Lead at Northrop Grumman, responsible for supporting the successful execution of cost, schedule, and technical performance in delivering products and services. Key responsibilities include operations management, program execution, staffing, planning support, special projects, executive briefings, and promoting operational efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience (or equivalent experience) and demonstrated experience in operations and project management, including leadership, successful project completion, attention to detail, and collaboration. Experience with automation and efficiency tools is also required. Preferred qualifications include an active DoD Secret Clearance and program management or agile project management experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. BA Operations management, program execution and external coordination
  2. Organization and manpower staffing management and reporting
  3. Support to program planning, start-up, and assessments
  4. Leading BA special projects and initiatives
  5. Preparing and/or presenting executive level briefings

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience OR 9 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Dynamic and executive briefing skills
  • Demonstrated experience with operations and the management of projects
  • Leadership of medium to large scale projects and initiatives across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Successful project completion within the confines of cost, quality, and schedule
  • Proven ability to showcase attention to detail, collaborating across organizations and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience in leveraging automation and software tools that promote efficiency, i.e. SharePoint, Confluence, Teams

Nice to have

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years
  • Program management or agile project management experience
  • Knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, procedures and principles of operating practices
  • Lean or agile trained/certified
