Business Controls and Governance Lead

This role leads a team responsible for in-business controls and governance within the Marketing Growth & Innovations (MG&I) team at JPMorgan Chase. The Lead will design, implement, and improve control frameworks, oversee audits and regulatory exams, manage incidents, and leverage analytics and automation to enhance risk management and streamline processes. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and collaboration skills, with experience in Operations, Marketing, Controls, or Compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, coach, and develop the team; set clear expectations, provide feedback, and foster a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  2. Design, implement, and continuously improve the in‑business control framework across assigned MG&I processes.
  3. Coordinate audits, reviews, and regulatory exams; ensure timely, high‑quality responses and successful outcomes.
  4. Triage process incidents and breaks to drive timely assessment, escalation, and resolution.
  5. Oversee audit activities; validate control effectiveness and evidence prior to submission to reviewers, auditors, and examiners.
