This role is for a Business Data Scientist within Google's Global Partnerships Studio, focusing on measuring the impact and driving the roadmap of workflow automation and AI products. The individual will define evaluation metrics, build dashboards, analyze user experience data, and provide data-driven recommendations to shape the product roadmap and the AI transformation journey for Global Partnerships. The role involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams to track user experiences and translate business needs into analyses.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and define evaluation metrics, such as Adoption and Usage, to measure our tools' implementation and impact.
  2. Work closely with product and engineering teams to analyze logs and ensure we are accurately tracking customer and user experiences.
  3. Create user-friendly dashboards and generate reports to effectively share insights and recommendations with leaders, internal teams, and executives to inform product decisions.
  4. Extract and analyze data to draw conclusions, evaluate outcomes, and proactively identify impactful opportunities to improve existing data solutions based on your findings.
  5. Interact with internal clients and partners to understand their business requirements and broader workflows, translating common business needs into tractable analyses and metrics.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.

Nice to have

  • 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
  • Proficiency in using charts, graphs, and tables to effectively capture data, share insights with leadership, and proactively identify gaps in current workflows.
