This role is for a Business Development Director focused on strategic accounts in the digital advertising technology space. The primary responsibilities involve leading business development strategies, driving growth in client relationships, developing and scaling brand partnerships, crafting Joint Business Plans, and communicating the company's value proposition. The role requires expertise in the online advertising landscape, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage long sales cycles. It is not directly involved in AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and execute business development strategies across a mix of clients within our In-House team book
  2. As a Director, you will be responsible for driving growth in relationships with some of the largest advertisers in the world.
  3. Develop and scale brand partnerships into multimillion-dollar accounts through strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  4. Craft and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that align with client objectives and drive long-term growth.
  5. Effectively communicate The Trade Desk’s value proposition through detailed product demonstrations and thought leadership.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven track record of building and scaling brand partnerships into multimillion-dollar deals
  • Expertise in crafting and delivering Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
  • Deep understanding of the online advertising landscape, with hands-on experience at a DSP, SEM platform, ad network, or similar
  • Strong quantitative and negotiation skills
  • Skilled communicator capable of presenting to C-level stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage long sales cycles
