This role is a Business Development Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Hong Kong, focusing on enterprise clients in a greenfield territory. The primary responsibility is to drive cloud adoption, nurture existing accounts, and hunt for new large enterprise opportunities. A key aspect of the role involves supporting customers' AI adoption journeys by connecting them with relevant AWS AI/ML services and use cases. The role requires building account plans, collaborating with internal teams (Solutions Architects, Specialist Sales, etc.), and representing AWS at industry events. While the role supports AI adoption, it is a sales and business development function, not a hands-on AI/ML development or research role.

What you'd actually do

  1. Nurture & grow existing strategic accounts by developing trusted advisor relationships, identifying new workloads, and driving consumption growth across AWS services
  2. Support customers' AI adoption journey — help enterprises navigate their generative AI and machine learning strategies, connecting them with relevant AWS AI/ML services and use cases that drive business value
  3. Build account plans aligned to customer business priorities, digital transformation roadmaps, and cloud adoption milestones
  4. Work cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Specialist Sales, Professional Services, Partner teams, and other internal stakeholders to deliver customer outcomes and accelerate adoption
  5. Collaborate across teams — engage with industry vertical leads, marketing, and ecosystem partners to develop joint go-to-market motions and unlock new opportunities within the territory。 Participate in events — represent AWS at industry conferences, trade shows, customer roundtables, workshops, and executive briefings to build pipeline and strengthen customer engagement
