This role is for a Business Development Manager focused on growing strategic product partnerships for Uber's merchant and corporate partners across various verticals like Uber Eats, Uber Direct, and Uber for Business. The responsibilities include identifying opportunities, leading partnership processes from outreach to negotiation and implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams (including Engineering and Product), developing deal analytics, and managing cultivated partnerships. A working knowledge of API integrations is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities across various sectors, with a focus on high-impact collaborations that drive business growth.
  2. Lead end-to-end partnership processes, from initial outreach and business case development to contract negotiations and implementation.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams— Corporate Development, Product, Finance, Compliance, Policy, Marketing, Operations, Legal & Engineering—to ensure partnership strategies align with overall business goals and drive value.
  4. Develop and present strategic deal analytics, competitive research, and market insights to guide business decision-making and shape partnership strategies.
  5. Own and cultivate partnerships that you will manage independently, ensuring long-term success through proactive relationship management and performance monitoring.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, management consulting, public-private partnerships, government affairs, or commercial development
  • Bachelor's Degree
