Business Development Representative

This role is a Business Development Representative focused on sales and success support at Canva. What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate closely with the Sales and Success team to identify and pursue strategic pipeline opportunities, create demand generation activities, and desired results
  2. Build sales pipeline using cold outreach strategies like cold calling, emailing and social selling
  3. Gain in-depth knowledge of Canva technologies, territories, accounts, competitors, industry trends, and more.
  4. Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
  5. Learning and implementing strategies that align Canva’s solutions with customer pains, use cases, and organization imperatives

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and executing partnerships that drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, possesses great time management skills
  • Goal Oriented; able to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment
  • Experience with cold outreach, experience including account planning, pre-call preparation, opportunity qualification, and objection handling preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach Tools, and cold calling.
