Business Development Representative (outbound)

This role is a Business Development Representative focused on outbound sales activities to identify and qualify potential customers for F5's technology products. It involves prospecting, lead nurturing, and collaboration with the sales team, with a focus on achieving sales targets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and qualify potential customers through targeted research and outreach
  2. Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling and email campaigns
  3. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our products and services
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that leads are properly handed off and nurtured through the sales process
  5. Meet and exceed weekly and monthly activity and pipeline goals

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the software industry or experience selling software products is a plus
  • Experience using a CRM system (e.g. Salesforce) is a plus
