What you'd actually do

  1. Support or/and lead engineering problem solving and process improvement projects using best practices, ensuring accountability and completion.
  2. Works with operations teams to identify potential projects, assess feasibility, and implement solutions.
  3. Collaborate with business teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements applying Lean Six Sigma concepts & tools.
  4. Identify opportunities for cost, time and flow reduction.
  5. Collect data and analyze process performance indicators to ensure business efficiency and quality requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in the medical device industry or supporting and implementing Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Proficiency English
  • Knowledge in holistic operational excellence structures and the associated tools/techniques
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or six sigma tools expected
  • Knowledge using different types of software to create PowerPoint/PDF presentations
  • Ability to use computer programs (Microsoft Office, Autocad, igrafx, Minitab, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or six sigma tools expected
  • Ability to convey and communicate complex concepts simply and clearly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
