Business Insights Analyst, Apple Store Online

This role is for a Business Insights Analyst on the Apple Store Online team, focusing on delivering analytics and supporting business decision-making for Greater China. The analyst will work with cross-functional stakeholders and platform partners to understand business needs, identify data sources, generate insights from platform data, and analyze market intelligence related to pricing, offers, market share, and competitor activity. The goal is to drive commercial growth for Apple Retail by providing data-driven insights into customer behavior and market trends.

What you'd actually do

  1. Cross functional analytics: work with cross functional team to understand the business needs, identify the data source, work with product and technology team for data solutions and generate analytics / business insights.
  2. Platform analytics: use key platform’s data products to generate business insight in order to support joint business plan and business decision making process.
  3. Customer analytics: leverage platform’s data infrastructure and work with their authorized ISV to understand customer better including customer segmentation, customer journey , shopping behavior trend etc.
  4. Market intelligence: collect and track market trend on pricing, offer, market share and competitors’ activity, and assess the impact on Apple retail business.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics or Business Management or prior experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in analytics role in a Retail / Online - centric environment
  • 5+ years experience in E-commerce analytics and familiar with platform data solutions
  • Strong analytics skills and capable of translating data into insight
  • Strong communication skills and capable of using facts to tell business stories
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity
  • Capable of working with various stakeholders in a complex organization
