Business Insurance Account Executive

This role is for a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Broker to pilot a new broker model at Gusto. The individual will quote and issue business insurance policies, provide customer support, and act as a human-in-the-loop to train and optimize an AI insurance advisor. The role requires active engagement with AI tools, sales experience, and insurance licensing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Make outbound dials to prospective and existing small business clients to assess their complex P&C insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options.
  2. Quote and issue Property & Casualty policies, primarily with the NEXT Insurance carrier, in our offline sales channel.
  3. Provide human-in-the-loop support to optimize the AI Insurance Advisor, Gus, and assist customers with more complex needs.
  4. Maintain client relationships, manage policy renewals, and facilitate changes or endorsements to existing policies.
  5. Use AI-powered workflows as a core part of how you sell: running assigned tools daily, surfacing friction and inefficiencies as you find them, and collaborating with your team to influence what gets built or improved next.

Skills

Required

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance producer’s license
  • Proven experience in insurance sales or brokerage
