This role is a Business Management Manager at Northrop Grumman, supporting the Missile Defense System Operating Unit. The primary responsibilities include managing a business management team, leading program financial execution, forecasting, budgeting (AOP, LRSP), and conducting financial assurance engagements like IBRs and JSRs. The role requires experience with US Government contracts, FAR, Earned Value management, and financial planning. A Secret security clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and develop a tiered business management team, driving high engagement and inclusion and building a talent pipeline
  2. Lead all aspects of program financial execution objectives
  3. Provide accurate and timely inputs to business systems supporting predictable financial forecasting and profitability determination
  4. Lead Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR), internal and external audits and other financial assurance engagements
  5. Lead Program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of industry related experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of industry related experience including people management experience
  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracts and FAR
  • Experience with Earned Value cost
  • Experience supporting large and complex proposal activities
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting and data analysis
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Nice to have

  • MBA or master’s degree in a business field
  • Experience with financial forecasting systems (S4/SAP, Hyperion, Cognos)
  • Experience with USG customer communications and negotiations as a prime
  • Experience with a financial forecasting system and earned value management system
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team or management
  • Experience reviewing Earned Value performance, bottoms up EAC, risk/opportunity/pressure analysis from multiple sources such as subcontractors or intercompany partners
  • Experience with EVM reporting (IPMR, IMPDAR, CFSR, CCDR, CSDR)
