Business Manager - Epx Strategy

This role is for a Business Manager on the Enterprise Product and Experience (EPX) Strategy team at Capital One. The team shapes product strategy and operations across various domains including Enterprise Data, Marketing Technology, and AI/ML. The manager will develop business strategies, potentially manage analysts, develop product and pricing strategies, lead marketing efforts, drive improvements in credit risk, and oversee execution of business intent. A strong analytical and quantitative background is required, with experience in financial services and consulting being preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  2. May manage and develop 1-2 analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  3. Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  4. Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel.
  5. Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis

Skills

Required

  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) OR Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in analysis
