Business Manager - Epx Strategy and Operations

This role is a Business Manager within Capital One's Enterprise Product and Experience (EPX) Operations team, focusing on strategy and operations across various domains including Enterprise Data, Marketing Technology, and AI/ML. The manager will apply analytical and strategic thinking to solve operational problems, improve processes, support cross-functional planning, and shape the strategic agenda for product management. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, people management, product strategy, marketing efforts, credit risk analysis, and execution oversight. The role requires a strong quantitative background and experience in analysis, with preferred qualifications in financial services, consulting, and people management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  2. May manage and develop 1-2 analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  3. Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  4. Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies
  5. Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
