This role is a Business Operations Partner for the Transportation Program within OpenAI's Real Estate & Workplace organization. The primary focus is on cross-functional coordination, stakeholder support, communication, and operational follow-through to improve the employee transportation experience. The role involves building relationships, understanding needs, representing the team, gathering feedback, tracking items, supporting planning, drafting communications, and improving internal processes. It requires experience in business operations, workplace operations, or program coordination, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build strong working relationships across REW, including Events, Design & Construction, Food, Security, Facilities, and Workplace Operations.
  2. Partner with teams across the company to understand transportation-related needs, coordinate next steps, and ensure transportation considerations are reflected in broader workplace planning.
  3. Represent the Transportation team in meetings, planning discussions, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  4. Gather input, questions, and feedback from employees and internal partners, summarize nuanced issues clearly, and route requests to the appropriate owner, resource, or process.
  5. Track open items and help ensure timely follow-up across stakeholders and team priorities.

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of experience in business operations, workplace operations, program coordination, employee experience, or similar roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex or nuanced topics clearly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while following through reliably.
  • Ability to build trust across teams and partner with internal stakeholders in sensitive or nuanced situations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with sound judgment, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working in workplace, hospitality, real estate, operations, internal service environments, or cross-functional programs.
  • Comfortable using project management tools, spreadsheets, and workflow systems to create clarity and momentum.

Nice to have

  • Ability to travel at minimum 1-2 times per quarter and support transportation needs across APAC, LATAM, and EMEA.
