Business Process Improvement Analyst- Dahlgren, Va

This role focuses on improving business processes within financial operations for sensitive defense programs, involving process design, implementation, and adherence to defense policies and regulations. It requires experience with ERP systems and financial data analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support financial operations for sensitive programs.
  2. Support the development and implementation of effective financial processes and internal controls tailored to the unique requirements of sensitive programs.
  3. Review and document financial business processes with consideration for defense policies, regulations, and controls.
  4. Serve as an audit readiness and internal controls resource.
  5. Support business users with process guidance.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, and developing functional specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in defense financial processes, regulations, and audit requirements
  • 3+ years of experience ERP functionality
  • Ability to work on-site in Dahlgren, VA up to 5 days per week
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Nice to have

  • CPA, CDFM, or CGFM preferred
  • Financial management or accounting experience.
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience with government financial regulations, audit standards, and internal controls.
  • Working knowledge of budget execution, procure-to-pay (purchase request, obligation, and payment), and reporting processes in the defense space
