Business Strategy Developer - International

Elastic Elastic · Enterprise · Netherlands · Field Leadership

This role is a Business Development Consultant focused on international growth for Elastic, a Search AI Company. The role involves shaping strategy, refining business models, developing go-to-market plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting financial analyses, and establishing KPIs. It requires strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, strategic clarity, and an understanding of the technology market. The role is not directly involved in building or shipping AI models or systems, but rather in the business strategy surrounding them.

What you'd actually do

  1. Shape strategy that sticks. Partner directly with executives to design short- and long-term business plans, refine business models, and develop go-to-market strategies that are grounded in data and built to scale.
  2. Connect the dots across the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams — from Sales and Marketing to Product and Finance — to align goals, remove friction, and drive strategic initiatives from concept to execution.
  3. Make the numbers talk. Conduct financial analyses, business valuations, and profitability assessments that turn strategy into something we can actually fund, build, and defend.
  4. Define what success looks like. Establish KPIs that give us an honest read on progress, and have the judgment to recommend pivots when the data calls for it.
  5. Drive growth. Develop and implement initiatives that tangibly move the needle on revenue and operational efficiency — not just slides, but outcomes.
