The Business System Owner (BSO) for Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) is accountable for shaping, delivering, and sustaining the business vision, strategy, and value realization of Empower, Openlab CDS, and Chromeleon across TDS laboratories. This role owns the end-to-end Chromatography Data system landscape, including integrations with adjacent lab systems, and serves as the primary business authority ensuring architectural consistency, regulatory compliance, and adoption across sites and functions. The BSO partners closely with DOS System Architects, System Integrators, Business SMEs, and functional stakeholders to ensure Chromatography Data Systems deliver measurable business value. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory systems, data principles, and regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharma or related sciences/engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related sectors.
  • Deep understanding of laboratory systems supporting pharmaceutical process development and clinical manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced data analytics relevant to pharmaceutical development (at least two of the following areas): lab systems, process analytics, or digital tools.
  • Organizational and project management skills, balancing multiple complex projects with effective customer management.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Synthetics Pharmaceutical Development is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Empower, Openlab CDS, and Chromeleon is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations; proven understanding of GAMP and SDLC requirements is preferred.
  • Experience with FAIR data principles and digital transformation projects is preferred.
