This role is focused on supporting sales teams by creating business cases and ROI/TCO models to justify customer investments in Datadog products. It involves collaborating with sales, post-sales, and marketing to quantify the impact of Datadog's offerings for decision-makers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support business value assessments for key deals, working with strategic customers to identify their business drivers and quantify the ROI of Datadog products.
  2. Execute in-depth ROI/TCO value models to provide clear financial justifications for prospective and existing customers.
  3. Assist sellers in running discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to uncover their key objectives and measurable outcomes..
  4. Prepare executive-level presentations and narratives for CxOs, ensuring data is clear, accurate, and compelling.
  5. Perform data-driven analyses in support of sales opportunities to identify where Datadog can optimize a customer's business operations.

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of professional experience in business value, management consulting, IT consulting, or sales operations
  • BA/BS in an analytical field (Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.)
  • Strong consultative mindset
  • Comfortable building and explaining financial models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments
  • Adept at building relationships with internal sales teams
  • Interest in complex SaaS sales cycles
  • Ability to understand technical product concepts
  • Fluency in English
