**What you'll do...**This role offers a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of the Switch commodity while working across global teams and directly influencing vehicle programs. You’ll drive strategic sourcing decisions, develop cost roadmaps, and build strong supplier partnerships in a role with strong exposure to leadership and clear pathways for growth. As our Switch Commodity Buyer, you will be the key driver of sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and cost optimization for the Switch category:
- Strategic Architect: Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, supply resilience, and program success.
- Program Driver: Lead sourcing execution across vehicle programs, ensuring alignment from concept through launch.
- Cost Leader: Build and manage cost roadmaps, identify savings opportunities, and drive value through negotiation and design optimization.
- Supplier Owner: Manage Tier 1 and directed Tier 2 supplier relationships, driving performance across cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
- Market Intelligence Lead: Analyze market trends, pricing indices, and supply-demand dynamics to inform sourcing strategy and mitigate risk.
- Cross-Functional Partner: Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program teams to align sourcing decisions with business needs.
- Risk & Claims Manager: Proactively identify risks, lead supplier claim resolution, and ensure continuity of supply.
- Continuous Improvement Driver: Challenge existing processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and commercial outcome
You'll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations and commercial management
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and sourcing decisions
- Solid understanding of purchasing systems, policies, and program lifecycle
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior leadership
- High-energy, organized, and self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with limited direction

- Experience with switches, electronic components, or electromechanical manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of automotive supply chain structure, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier networks

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
