Cable Design Engineer responsible for designing and engineering structured cabling systems, technology rooms, and distribution systems within Bank of America's data center environments. This role involves creating standards, developing bid documents, analyzing bids, conducting field surveys, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. The engineer will also provide project implementation and validation support, interface with various internal and external teams, and act as a subject matter expert in cable infrastructure.

  4. Demonstrates the ability to decompose issues or objectives into units of work that can be assigned to other team members.
  5. They advocate and advance more efficient solution delivery practices and evangelize great design, engineering and organizational practices.

Skills

Required

  • 15 years’ experience creating structured cabling solutions, designs and standards in a data center environment
  • commercial infrastructure experience desirable (tenant fit-out)
  • Strong background in IT service delivery role
  • Varied experience in multi-vendor solutions (various infrastructure systems and manufacturers, primarily Corning and CommScope)
  • Participated in design and/or implementation of major IT projects
