Cabling & Harnessing Technician - Level 2 or 3 - 2nd Shift

Technician responsible for electrical harness assembly and testing, including interpreting schematics, soldering, wire stripping, and structural bonding for aerospace programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Will be reviewing, interpreting, maintaining, and completing paperwork and electronic data associated with hardware assemblies to maintain data and material traceability.
  2. Will be working with electrical harness assemblies, including interpreting schematics and building compliant electrical assemblies as well as conducting electrical tests such as continuity and insulation resistance.
  3. Will be routing wiring harnesses on flight hardware.
  4. Will follow procedure and direction from management as well as work from drawings or sketches, and collaborate with engineers to develop or proof new processes.
  5. Will work with soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience (Level 2)
  • at least 4 years of additional education and/or related experience (Level 3)
  • Ability to read, write and work to instructions written in English.
  • Ability read and follow directions on engineering drawings and Schematics
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to be on feet for up to various hours each day
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts based on demanding manufacturing schedules
  • US Citizenship required

  • J-STD-001 Soldering Certification
  • NASA STD 8739.1 Certification
  • NASA STD 8739.4 Certification
  • Knowledge of ESD and Flight Hardware handing
  • Demonstrated Mechanical Ability
  • Familiarity with solar cell technology and CIC wiring
  • Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
