What you'd actually do

  1. Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of calibration tasks.
  2. Install, set-up, and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment used in the verification of precision manufactured products.
  3. Maintain calibration system with traceability to National Bureau of Standards.
  4. Communicate solutions to routine technical problems within the Metrology Lab’s policies and procedures.
  5. Take a proactive role in supporting the Metrology Lab Team and in providing customer support building a high level of trust with internal and external customers.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate's degree in a related technical field
  • 4-7 years of related experience (depending on level)
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency with Testing and Measurement Equipment
  • Proficiency with hand tools and light mechanical tools
  • Organized
  • Computer literate

Nice to have

  • Experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with ANSI/Z540
  • Experience supporting ISO/IEC 17025 certification efforts
