Calibration Technician a

This role involves planning, setting up, operating, calibrating, adjusting, certifying, maintaining, and repairing Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment using approved procedures and standards. The technician will also conduct tests, analyze data, document results, troubleshoot equipment problems, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime. The position requires 5+ years of experience with M&TE and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
  2. Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications
  3. Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
  4. Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems
  5. Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime

Skills

Required

  • Experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • Precision metrology equipment lab training
