This role is a department manager position in a retail environment, focusing on leading a team of associates in General Merchandise and Fashion departments. Responsibilities include providing customer service, coordinating task completion, managing department presentation, delegating tasks, supporting scheduling, training associates, and ensuring a safe work environment. The role does not involve AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
  2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
  3. Assesses the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
  4. Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks
  5. Support with scheduling as needed.
