Senior Manager, Data Science - Geospatial leads the strategy, development, and execution of advanced geospatial analytics, data science models, and insights that directly inform enterprise level decisions. This role combines deep geospatial and data science expertise with strong people leadership and business acumen to translate complex spatial data into actionable insights across real estate, market strategy, operations, and merchandising. The role owns end to end delivery of geospatial analytics — from data sourcing and model development through insight storytelling and executive engagement — while building and scaling a high performing team of data scientists, analysts, and GIS specialists.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing Geospatial Models – Cannibalization, Retention, New Store Sales Predictions and mobile data based models
  2. Developing Geospatial Modeling tools using GIS software such as CARTO
  3. Developing and preparing insights packages to present at ICRC for new store approvals
  4. Collaborating with Real Estate leadership team to align and propose strategic projects including store openings, how to prepare for competitor openings, where we have white space
  5. Owning developing of trade areas for existing and potential stores

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years in data science
  • 2+ years leading a team
  • 2+ years interacting with senior leadership
  • Experience putting models into production
  • Experience with GCP or other cloud computing platforms
