Capacity Delivery Lead

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Fremont, CA

This role is for a Capacity Delivery Lead in Meta's Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering team, focusing on ensuring on-time delivery of data center capacity. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to manage, escalate, and resolve equipment delivery issues for hyperscale data center construction projects. While the role mentions integrating AI tools for workflow optimization and staying current with AI technologies, the core responsibilities are in supply chain management and construction project delivery, not in building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work cross-functionally to ensure provision-ready (PR) capacity is not impacted by equipment production or delivery delays across power, cooling, and connectivity infrastructure
  2. Act as the primary Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering (ISCE) escalation point for DEC Delivery and General Contractor teams on OFE equipment production and delivery issues at site level
  3. Prioritize equipment delivery as required by the business to meet capacity demands for a DC product or site, coordinating with internal central supply chain teams for factory and corporate-level escalations
  4. Manage, triage, and report delivery risks to business leadership, elevating issues and proposing solutions to protect critical capacity milestones
  5. Coordinate and support initial OFE kick-off meetings at site level with GC and internal Meta construction teams, ensuring appropriate points of contact and delivery expectations are established, and serve as an ongoing escalation point for site teams and vendors as needed

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in construction management, supply chain delivery, or infrastructure program management within large-scale construction environments
  • Experience with power, cooling, or connectivity equipment supporting infrastructure construction (e.g., transformers, switchgear, generators, chillers, busway, fiber/cabling systems)
  • Experience managing cross-functional escalations and coordinating across multiple stakeholders including construction teams, suppliers, and internal partners
  • Experience in risk identification, triage, and resolution in fast-paced, schedule-driven delivery environments
  • Experience communicating complex delivery issues and translating them into clear recommendations for leadership audiences (e.g., status reports, risk briefings, executive summaries)
  • Experience supporting 10+ concurrent construction projects across a regional portfolio
  • Track record of developing creative solutions to unblock delivery challenges in unpredictable environments
  • Experience in hyperscale data center construction or mission-critical infrastructure delivery programs
  • Technical understanding of DC product power distribution, cooling systems, and connectivity design
  • Familiarity with OFCI processes, construction scheduling, and equipment commissioning workflows

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration), and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience in partnering with sourcing, engineering, and construction teams to align equipment supply with construction milestones

What the JD emphasized

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., delivery tracking, risk reporting, coordination efficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
