Capital Projects Manager - Project Delivery

This role is for a Capital Projects Manager at Deloitte, focusing on project delivery within strategy, growth, and transformation. The responsibilities include advising clients on capital project execution, leading teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting business development. The role requires experience in project controls, scheduling, construction documents, and client relationship management. It is not directly involved in building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advising clients on capital project delivery and execution across the project lifecycle, including cost and schedule assurance, risk analysis and avoidance, contracting and procurement, data analytics, and project governance
  2. Leading teams and workstreams to support project delivery and overall engagement success
  3. Collaborating with client stakeholders to gather and analyze information, develop solutions, and communicate recommendations
  4. Providing coaching, oversight, and support to delivery teams and staff
  5. Leading or supporting proposal development, client relationship development, and business development activities

  • Experience working on major construction projects, including reviewing and analyzing construction documents
  • Experience in business development, strategic planning, and managing client relationships
  • Experience supervising, training, and developing staff on client requirements as well as assessing staff performance
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Nice to have

  • MBA or a Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or project management
  • Professional certifications such as PE, ASA, PMP, CFA, CFE, CCE, or CPA
  • Experience using Project Management tools, including Oracle Unifier, Procore, Hexagon Ecosys, Kahua, Primavera P6, and Power BI
  • Experience in a professional services firm
