Boeing Defence UK is seeking a Capture Team Lead to lead strategically important captures designed to deliver significant growth. The role involves scoping, shaping, and qualifying new business, leading complex campaigns across platforms, digital, and training, and driving innovative solutions for Defence customers. Responsibilities include leading and motivating capture teams, developing capture strategies, overseeing solution development, managing capture plans, contributing to business development and strategy, and building senior-level customer relationships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, motivate and guide the capture team comprising of multi-disciplined individuals & teams across multiple business functions, and (where relevant) partner companies and/or contractors.
  2. Ensure you can maintain a balance between the longer-term win strategy and the more immediate demands that face a Capture Team; keeping both aligned and informed to the best win strategy effect.
  3. Collaborate broadly to develop the capture strategy for assigned nominated captures.
  4. Achieve company buy-in and approval for the capture strategy including associated capability investments.
  5. Oversee solution development activities for assigned captures, ensuring that solution maturity matches or exceeds customer expectations throughout the capture lifecycle and drives our shaping strategy.

Skills

Required

  • Previous experience as a senior member of a capture team (or equivalent) that has driven from the early stages through to a successful win of a significant contract (Ideally >£50m)
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in successfully influencing the win of major opportunities by leading capture teams within the International defence, security and or government sectors
  • Currently holding or able to obtain a UK SC clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in a Capture role
  • formal training in complex B2G sales (e.g., Shipley methodologies or equivalent)
  • Defence and security experience in our home markets of UK
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project Management or Finance
