What you'd actually do

  1. Investigates, negotiates and settles claims of medium – high complexity by telephone and written correspondence
  2. Interprets insurance policy wordings, determines policy coverages and reserves
  3. Document claim files with notes, evaluations and decision making process
  4. Ensures prompt and equitable settlement of medium- high complexity claims by following prescribed and recommended processes. Process payments within established authority levels.
  5. Negotiates with insureds, claimants and insurers

Skills

Required

  • 3-5 years' experience in handling medium to large loss complex residential property claims.
  • CIP Designation, or currently enrolled.
  • Experience in adjusting single peril auto claims.
  • IICRC Certification, or enrollment.
  • HAAG Certification, or enrollment.
  • Ability to review, critique, and negotiate reconstruction estimates
  • Proficient with Xactimate and Guidewire.
  • Stratum 1 Information Processing Capability.
  • The ability to handle high volume of claims – 125+/- pending.

  • Bilingualism considered an asset.
