Category Manager for Poultry/Backyard Chicken business at Chewy, responsible for driving profitable sales growth, owning the P&L, business strategy, assortment strategy, and customer experience. What you'd actually do

  1. Own the poultry category P&L, with accountability for meeting and exceeding sales and gross margin goals
  2. Establish, build, and manage strong vendor partnerships, including ownership of assortment planning, cost/rebate/terms negotiations, promotions, and joint business planning
  3. Deliver best-in-class execution across catalog and vendor operations, including item and content setup, ordering and forecasting inputs, promotional planning, assortment launches, and issue resolution
  4. Develop and implement category growth strategies based on customer insights, market trends, and business performance data to acquire new customers, deepen engagement with existing customers, launch new products, and expand vendor relationships
  5. Identify opportunities to optimize and maximize product performance through assortment analysis, sales trends, competitive insights, and category gap analysis
