This role is for a Senior Specialist in Supply Chain Planning for the Surgery franchise at Johnson & Johnson in Istanbul, Turkey. The primary responsibilities include demand planning, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving efficiencies in supply chain operations. Key tasks involve maintaining sales data, gathering information for demand plans, producing unconstrained demand plans using statistical modeling, managing assumptions for events, facilitating the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, analyzing gaps, and tracking forecast accuracy. The role also involves risk management for supply criticalities and regulatory transitions, and managing new product introductions from a supply chain perspective. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Engineering or Business Management, over 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, hands-on experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and IBP, and proficiency in Excel.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintain and understand the sales data at different aggregation levels (Brands, Sub-brands, SKUs, variants, sizes, Distribution channels, demand groups and demand locations).
  2. Gather information and document assumptions based on historical data, business intelligence gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailers, and other sources.
  3. Produce unconstrained base demand plan utilizing statistical modelling in collaboration with Central planning team.
  4. Facilitate parts of the IBP process to gain consensus and alignment with all stakeholders involved in the process to arrive at one unbiased aligned number, practicing the IBP concepts.
  5. Locally own NPI project management from supply chain point of view, collaborating with regional supply planners, regulatory, marketing, commercial and operations team to ensure successful on time NPI launch.

Skills

Required

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Management, or similar.
  • Courses in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • >5 years’ experience, in Supply Chain.
  • Hands on experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning and IBP.
  • Prior ERP experience.
  • Experience working with quantitative & qualitative numbers, creating reports
  • Ability to explain/ communicate the business situation in a clear report
  • Expert in Excel
  • Skilled enough in Word and Power Point

Nice to have

  • To be able to quickly understand and later improve the processes
  • To quickly engage in driving the process with very short learning curve.
  • Highly preferred to quickly engage in driving the process and be able to identify potential quick wins.
  • IBP experience or qualification.
  • To quickly engage in driving IBP process improvement in the country.
