This role provides IT support for a consulting firm, managing end-user devices, troubleshooting various technologies, and maintaining IT infrastructure. It involves preparing, configuring, and deploying devices, supporting operating systems and applications, and participating in IT initiatives. The role requires strong technical and interpersonal skills, with a focus on user experience and problem-solving.

What you'd actually do

  1. Providing best-in-class IT support to case teams and office staff, both proactively and in response to issues, with a strong focus on user experience
  2. Supporting a broad range of technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, video conferencing systems, printers, standing desks, and office infrastructure
  3. Preparing, configuring, imaging, deploying, and maintaining end-user devices in line with BCG standards
  4. Troubleshooting issues across Windows and macOS environments, Android and iOS devices, Microsoft 365, VPNs, and network connectivity
  5. Maintaining local technology environments to improve reliability, security, efficiency, and cost effectiveness

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support, service desk, or similar role
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems, Android and iOS devices, Microsoft 365, VPNs, MFA, Intune/Azure and network connectivity
  • Ability to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and escalate effectively when appropriate
  • Foundational knowledge of PC and laptop hardware, software, telecommunications, mobile devices, networking, and server administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • High standards for accuracy, follow-through, and customer satisfaction
  • Willingness and ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and moving equipment and using basic tools

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with automation tools, process improvement initiatives, and emerging technologies (including AI-enabled tools)
